Hi, I’m Cassie the Founder of The Carers Place

I am a married (for the second time) mum of two gorgeous teenage boys and have been a carer for my eldest son Matthew for more than 16 years.  Matthew was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis shortly after birth and since then has faced a range of challenges which include Autism, Learning Delays, an Acquired Brain Injury and Chronic Anxiety.

I started The Carers Place to provide a positive safe place of support for other carers and parents who felt totally isolated through circumstance or location. A place where we could support one another, learn from each other’s experiences and share in the triumphs and celebrations that perhaps our family and friends don’t quite understand.

I wanted to create a place where we could give ourselves permission to let go of the heaviness, have fun and enjoy the lighter side of life.

As time has gone on our services have developed more holistically and we support entire families including the person with the disability.  I have always said, “We do not live in silo’s and it would be remiss of me to treat or focus on just one person when we are a whole unit”.

My recent personal experience with navigating the NDIS, Education and Medical systems has provided me with valuable experience to serve my clients as a Support Coordinator and as an effective Advocate too.

I am so excited you have found us, please come and join us in the community!  If that’s not for you, why not book in an individual call or send through an email so we can discuss how I can help you.

Cass xx
